Can mechanics clock in on their own phone?

For a shop environment, we recommend a shared tablet by the door. But yes, you can also send join links if you have mobile techs.

What if the tablet gets greasy?

Use a screen protector. The tablet just needs a camera and a browser — any cheap Android tablet works. If it breaks, swap it.

Does it track flat-rate vs. hourly?

ClockMeIn tracks clock-in/out times. It doesn't track flat-rate hours per job — it tells you when someone was in the shop.

Can I export hours to my payroll?

Yes. Export any date range as CSV. Works with QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, or any processor.
